Lauren Flanagan wrote about decor for The Spruce for nearly two years, focusing on interior decor. She began her career in the field of high-end home decor retail where she was mentored by two of Canada's top experts in the fields of antiques and interior styling. Since leaving retail in 2008 she has found homes in magazines and television production. She has written and produced stories for some of Canada's top interior design magazines, including Style at Home, where she worked as a design editor, and Canadian House and Home. She has also written for several other print and online publications, including Canadian Gardening, Canadian Home & Country, and Connected Rogers Magazine. Her television styling credits include several episodes of "CityLine," Canada's longest-running lifestyle show. From 2011 to 2015 she worked as a project manager and production associate for the HGTV shows "Summer Home" and "Income Property."
